Thursday Thirteen #19 -- Contest Edition

Today's the last day to enter my Title Contest! (See post directly below this one.) Haven't entered yet? Here are thirteen reasons you really, really should!

1. Fame! If your title suggestion is selected, you'll get your name in the acknowledgements.

2. Free books! Well, free book, at least. You'll get a free advance copy of The-Book-That-Needs-A-Name.

3. A chance to participate in the creative process! :)

4. Once I have a title, I can send in my art fact sheet.

5. Ditto on the back cover blurb.

6. Once #4 and #5 are in, I'm that much closer to getting the book listed on the website.

7. Once on the website, that means it has an official release date. Whee!

8. One less thing for my editor to stress about.

9. One less thing for me to stress about.

10. With a title for this book, naming the next book should be a breeze!

11. You could see your title idea in a bookstore near you!

12. By reading the info in the contest post, you'll get a sneak peek at the storyline.

13. I need all the help I can get. :)

While taking my English classes, the one thing I always did horrible on was the title... I like the first title you came up with. So here is my lame attempt;

1. Passionate Prince
2. Royal Nanny
3. Nanny Burned

See no good at titles! Hey, I still had fun! Great TT, and good luck

I am horrible at titles. I guess it's not my thing. But I'm sure you'll be able to choose the best from among those who will participate. I wish you the best :)

Happy Thursday!!!

I guessed a few, but I'm not good at this kinda thing - that's why YOU'RE the writer, Kate.

Oh this is too funny. What a great idea for a contest. Titles can drive you mad can't they? You want so badly to get the right title down because, really, the title might be what gets that reader to stop and check your book over another.

Oh I hear you and feel for you. Going to check out the contest details below. :-)

Happy TT and thanks for stopping by!

Title can be the biggest pain, but when you find the right one...it's gold.

I can't come up with much. How about Undercover Nanny?

Good luck with finding the right title!

I got nothing...must be something in the air because I'm struggling with titles too.

I'm sorry but I'm not helping you with your title until you come and help me with mine. Snicker.

Too late for the contest, but I'm in the mood to have a little fun. So...

1. The Crown Nanny of Laurivenia
2. Laurivenia is for Lovers (Yes, I've seen too many travel ads.)
3. The Nanny and the Prince
4. A Princely Deception
5. A Princely Pretense
6. A Princely Prevarication (Okay, I'll back off on the alliteration now.)
7. Laurivenian Snow-job (Isn't by chance set in the winter, is it?)
And because by this point in the day I'm just plain silly, how about:
8. Nanny Bamboozled!

I'll shut up now. Happy Friday! 8-)

I would if I could, but I can't, so I won't.

You're talking to someone who's given the same poor book four titles, and still hates all of them!
