Celebration Time!

Break out the confetti and cake -- it's my birthday!

And to celebrate, *I'm* giving away the pressies. :) From now until Friday at midnight Pacific time, everyone who posts on my blog will be put in a drawing for a prize. Maybe more than one!

So post away. You could be a winner!

Today's topic: Presents! What's the best present you ever received? (Or, conversely, what's the best present you ever gave?)

I have never received a "real"present. The best present I had would be eating out with my family.

I tried to post on your blog about our visit, but Blogger was being a pain and after this really long comment, deleted me. Aargh! Anyway, darlin' hope you have a totally great day!!

Hey Birthday Girl. The best present I ever gave my DH, was a surprise ski vacation with his friends. He originally said no to the trip because of the cost, so I worked overtime and brought home special projects to pay for it myself. I took him out to dinner four nights before the trip and presented it to him over dessert. Still remember that beaming smile.

Happy Birthday to you! The best present I ever gave to my mom was on this last Christmas, it was a pair of Tickets to see The Phantom of the Opera. She absoluely loved it and I got to go with her since her husband didn't want to.

Happy belated b-day!

The picture light I gave my hubby last X-mas has got to be one of the best prezzies I've given. It lights the photo over the fireplace - a gorgeous pic he took while he was on Mt. Rainier last year.

Thanks for stopping by, all!

acdaisy, I love dinner out, especially at a nice restaurant. (Okay, if there's real silverware, I'm happy.)

lucy, you sweetie, thanks for the b-day wishes! And sorry Blogger was being a pain. Had a great time last week!

Hey Cathy -- what a great gift! I'm sure *both* of you will remember that for a long time.

Tetewa, I still remember the tickets to Annie that my mom got me for my birthday back when I was, oh, nine? It was an amazing show, and such a great time.

M-dith, thanks! The picture light sounds great -- as does the picture!

Happy Birthday! The best present I ever gave was to my mom. For mother's day, she went to the Smoky Mountains with her two sisters and their friends. The only present I ever get is money which I use to buy books. :)

The best present that I received were tickets to a wonderful musical here in town. Just enjoyed it thoroughly.

A gift that meant a great deal to me was an evening out with my husband. Just a quiet relaxing meal with all the time in the world to talk and catch up. Precious and rare.

LOL too kate to do much but say WOO HOO I am thrilled to see that an author I like is "like" IN the PNW also. Alas most the time I never have to wonder if I have walked by them at some time SHOPPING and not known it, or what if we were in the same hospital at the same time? Oy I love that sort of wonder.. Anyone else? LOL Happy Birthday... Sounds like your present came from my kids!!

Belated happy birthday Kate! I'm glad you had such a special day. I'm sorry I missed it - my computer was throwing temper tantrums.
